Political Gridlock

As Congress is once more locked in battle over the budget/deficit, I think it is obvious that our entire political system needs to be revamped. The existing 2 Party system just does not work. How about a No Party system. Get rid of the Democratic and Republican parties all together. If people are not encouraged to "think" along party lines, then more people would consider each issue independent of dogma or party doctrine.
